Never mind the Sharrows

The Truth is in the Sharrows or lack there of, I think. Illustration by eYe Magazine.

not that pictures always indicate the reality, but this new street doesn't look that much more comfortable to bike on despite smooth pavement.
Sigh. So much political capital on a north-south street when it's the east-west that really needs/ed the attention eg. Bloor

The only thing that really sucked about riding on Lansdowne before was the AWEFUL pavement. Otherwise I didn't think it was too bad.

I've only ridden on it once (southbound) since it re-opened. The new pavement was definitely VERY nice. The lanes are wider now, so it's more comfortable to ride outside the door zone.

Sharrows will be a nice touch, as long as they put them in the right place (not in the door zone!)

The sidewalks are much wider now too. But I wonder if this will serve to encourage more cyclists to ride on them?

I should email Giambrone about those sharrows....
