Hey...
Sorry for the way off-topic question:
Are there any public newgroups or mailing lists related to cycling issues (promotion, advocacy, safety, etc.) for the Toronto area?
All I can find so far are announcement lists, and 'blogs. Nothing wrong with that really, but I'm looking for some good discussion forums. I've looked at some of the main sites without any success (ARC, Biketoronto, CBN, the City's page...)
There's GOT to be something here in this megacity, but I can't find it. But I'm sorta new here and all these big buildings and whizzing cars have me confused. :)
Vic here are three ,two you most likely saw and another but the other sites are down for some reason but there is another one for single speeders but I forget the link but if you want to get in touch with Toronto riders you can go to bike forums they got a ton of peeps there and more infomation and answers than you could believe.. cheers. http://www.bikeforums.net/ http://www.nowtoronto.com/issues/2001-04-05/seasonal_bikeindex_p.html http://www.nowtoronto.com/issues/2001-04-05/seasonal_bikeindex_p.html
To get on the ARCactive list yoiu have to become a member of ARC which has only one main requirement; you have to attend an ARC meeting. Next one is July 13th I think.

Vic,
ARC has a private list which is very active. TBN includes a forum on cycling isuues (quiet) and I think Steeker knows of a list or two.

How does one get on the more active ARC list? I'm only on the very quiet announcement list.

Thanks for the links and info. I might check out an ARC meeting the near future.
Cheers,
Vic
