Ah, yes. The Cyclists must-be-perfect-to-gain-respect-defense/argument while drivers/cars continue to kill us. NO thanks. It's crap. Everyone on the road breaks the rules.
I go out of my way to get along with drivers and that tends to help. I used to be very angry with them I am less so now. But I will stand up for myself.
Anyways, Brad. I appreciate your passion and the fact that you bike.
However, those who want to bitch about cyclists ought to do it somewhere else. May I suggest: http://ihatebicycles.blogspot.com
Point of clarification: I posted the photo as a statement that given current environmental/public health conditions people ought to consider riding a bike whenever possible. It's also an aside to the federal and provincial govenments for doing less than their share to promote cycling in Canada/Ontario. Lastly, it's my way of saying to locals running for city council to give bicycles more space on our roads.

Ride a bike and you won't be an idiot.
I've seen plenty of idiot bike riders. It doesn't have a whole lot to do with your mode of transportation I'm afraid.
Sigh.
"Idiot bike riders"
Actually, it has EVERYTHING to do with
your choice of transport.
Give me an idiot on a bike any day.
As long as no one gets hurt it's
far far better for all of us.
In the last 10 years in Toronto , 2 people have been killed by cyclists, over 600 by cars. I will take an idiot cyclist over an idiot driver any day.
Bullshit.
All that does is continue the animosity and fuel the bike verus car culture.
You want to be better? ACT better. Set an example. You want to be a bicycle advocate then BE one.
I try to.
