Who is going to break it to them?
No matter how fast your car can go from 0-60 or its top end, it simply will not go anywhere in Toronto traffic. Probably kill and maim the same number of people too.

or maybe electric cars would kill/maim more people because they are quieter.
They would kill fewer via smog / global warming side effects of course.
