Public Relations

Fantino is upset about a show segement on CKLN called 'Bad cop, no donut'.
Wednesday this week had an article about this in the Toronto Star.
As far as cyclist are concerned, a cop is rarely your friend. Here are some pics from
Darren Stehr to illustrate this point.

Interestingly enough, I just had a short, friendly chat with the cops about their concerns surrounding road use (being on University Ave., they were concerned that the wall of cars behind the ride would be impenetrable to ambulances) and got off with a warning.

I was actually kinda hoping to get ticketed, because when the helmet gets passed around to raise the fine for a ticketed mass rider, it usually ends up containing substantially more than necessary to pay off the fine.
