About the ruts - why would you stop that close to the curb? The postal truck picture reminded me of a sight I saw the other day that surprised me: a postwoman carrying her mailbags and riding a road bike. (since you always see the post people parking their cars annoyingly everywhere it was a pleasant shock to see one on bike who parked it next to a tree instead :)

You would never ride that close to the ruts except when swerving away from a car that gets too close. Kingston RD is fast and stupid.
well sometimes I forget the ruts are there and like I said when I am pulling up to stop the odd time to get off my bike
