martino, this is unrelated to your posting but do you know when the toronto cops plan to do their 2-week ticket-writing spree again this year? i got slapped with a ticket last year and want to avoid it this year.

'Cycle Right' is usually just after Bike Week. So June
13 to June 27 or something like that. But no official
word anywhere that I can find. Maybe my constant
complaints about are being heard but I doubt that.
Ride on, Helen.

speaking of portland, I just saw this post on bikeportland.org and it made me wonder if this is a cultural thing or if it happens to women as often here in toronto:

I'm actually friends with the Erica mentioned in the article. It was a pretty terrible experience for her!

ps. this is the bearded Wes that introduced himself to you before CM last week. :)

Hi Wes, thanks for checking out Bike Lane Diary.
I don't think that sort of thing happens here so much.

I hope that wink indicates sarcasm Martino... based on my experience here in T.O. that sort of thing happens all the time.

Marge,

Sarcasm? Kinda. I suspected that this might happen in Toronto as well, although until today I had no heard too much of that.
Most stories I hear are about aggressive driving rather than lewd behaviour and worse.

Saddens me to no end that people act like that.

Thanks for putting this together, Martino. I had fun, and I'll be sure to go back to Yasi's sometime too. :)
