Stunning news coming from varyng news sources saying a Tour De France rider has tested positive for doping. The Phonak team has suspended Landis.
If it is true it will destroy one of the best Tours ever, some say in 40 years, along with destroying the TdF credibility forever. Very depressing.

well if it is true I think the Tour should be buried and a new one Formed in a diffent country.. also I think the Ban on Recumbent Bikes should be lifted and the world could then see why recumbents hold all the human powered speed records :D..
It's more a cycling issue than a Tour issue.
As for the recumbent vs ICU-standard bicycle: has anyone seen a recumbent race? Or do they just do time trials?

It is terrible news indeed. Landis has claimed his innocence in a press conference in Madrid today, 28/07/06 . Oscar Pereiro, this Tour’s second best man and a very good friend of the Landis, has defended the winner saying that he finds it hard to believe and that the press and public ought to respect Landis more and believe in his innocence until proven otherwise. I hope it isn’t true. What a blow to such a great race as it was this year.
