I highly recommend those who take the train down here to Niagara take the "Greater Niagara Circle Route".
With the exception of taking the trail for shortcuts locally here in St. Catharines, I've only taken the route from Port Weller (Northeast St. Catharines) to downtown Welland, but it's such an amazing and peaceful ride.
This looks great. Some of us in the Twin Cities have been using the train to go south to Winonoa, about 100 miles down the Mississippi. The AMTRAK people force us to box our bicycles for this trip, which is stupid. The roll-on, roll-off thing looks ideal. I grew up as a kid in Toronto and fondly remember picnics along the Niagara gorge with my parents.
My wife and I went on the Bike Train on the opening weekend. It provided an amazing bike weekend. Riding south on the path beside the Niagara River is beautiful. The Bike Train guys running the operation were solid dudes.
