Nice timing on that shot. It seems that some pedestrians mistake a bike for a pedestrian on wheels and think hmm I can walk in front of it, not having any clue how fast the bike is going.

Thank you all for the encouragement. I should mention that the bikes were going fairly slow at the time but still it was a mess. No one was hurt, especially the hipster escaped unscathed. As for how I get photos like that, nearly all the photos on the blog are shot with a cheap pocket digital: Logitech 130. (http://www.techimo.com/articles/i209.html)

I mowed down a ped who stepped in from of me once (by accident). I couldn't stop and only managed to veer slightly so that I clipped her with my shoulder. She ended up on the pavement.

This is a great blog.
