Cyclist killed in midtown collision - Apr. 20, 2006. 10:50 AMA male cyclist is dead after he was struck by a dump truck at Avenue Rd. and Briar Hill Ave. this morning. The cyclist, whose name has not been released, was struck at about 8:45 a.m. He was taken to hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
ARC will be organizing a memorial to be held about a week from today.

I hate hearing about this sort of thing it saddens me to no end ,,, let's all hope and pray Bill 68 I believe which will, if enacted, ban the use of hand-held cell phones and other electronic devices when operating a motor vehicle, except under specific conditions. You may want to contact your MPP on this matter.
