the motorholic bicyclophobics have been out in force today. some nutbar was screaming at me to move off to the side of the road despite I was doing 40 kph and on the bumper of the car in front of me on Queen on the commute home. Similar happened on the way into work today. to cap it off a city tv van damn near ran me down in front of my door. something tells me it wasn't a simple street cleaning.
About 40 years after the B/D subway opens, and maybe after two years of wait for a report about how tricky it is to repaint 8kms of Bloor for bikes, when citizens get fed up with waiting for dangers to be moderated and some steps towards cleaner air to be taken in the critical transport sector, the City removes this effort on the same day as the Smog Summit. Carrupt gassholes anyone?

It might have just been routine street cleaning... Queen street out by our place got done a couple of days ago.
