Safe Roads

Sticker reads: 'I want safe roads in Ontario, too.'
Hmm, ever heard of side guards?

That trailer you noted is a moving trailer and as such, has a very low belly. Most moving trailers sit 10-18 inches off the ground. A tanker trailer, flatbed (excluding goose-necks), or freight van (typical trailer pulled on the highways)is the more dangerous type as you state. Essentially, the trailer you demonize is one in compliance with the regulations you seek.

No doubt the trailer is in compliance with current standards
for safety. I have lost two friends now to trailers of this type. The standards are not good enough. There need to be changes.
Side guards should to be mandatory.

Saw that same van today again. Granted, it's not the same
as the ones the killed Galen, Ryan and many others. Either
way, they are dangerous.
