Lower Don Trail to re-open late summer

"The closure is as a result of the section which passes under the railway tracks. This stretch was built as a pedestrian bridge which hooked like a U over the Don, under the railway tracks.

The path is being straightened out, and a proper tunnel is being dug underground, away from the banks of the Don. As for the amount of time it is taking for this project to be completed, there is some kind of rationalization that the earth has to settle etc., for the tunneling process. Anyways, the word is that it'll be reopened 'at the end of the summer'."
