This is good to see, however, is the lane actually wide enough to be a safe shared lane?
In my opinion, no. The curb lane seems only one foot wider than the middle lane. One foot would be enough if it weren't for the taxi stands and on-street parking.As long as traffic is jammed up, though, it'll be reasonably safe.
Here in St Catharines, a good majority of our downtown streets now have sharrows. Bike lanes would be nicer, but I'll take what we can get for now.
